“If you thought Harry Potter was just for kids, think again!”

Harry Potter Prognostications (HPProgs for short) is a weekly podcast which delves deeper into the themes and underlying idea of the Harry Potter books. Whether it’s a discussion of the philosophical implications of house-elf enslavement, a discussion of theories of time-travel or simply good old-fashioned predictions of what’s to come, HPProgs’s hosts, married couple Greg and Penny, bring a unique and intelligent perspective to the Harry Potter novels.

Hosts

Greg is a geek from birth, which he attributes to being born around the same time the original Star Wars movie was released. And while he’s never quite forgiven George Lucas for the prequels, he’s stayed true to his geeky roots. When not attempting to rescue beautiful princesses from the bowels of the Imperial space stations, or on a quest to destroy a Ring of Power, Greg builds websites, reads books and revels in the fact that he is smarter than just about everyone he knows. Greg feels very lucky to be married to the lovely Penny, and even luckier to help out occasionally in raising their three kids.

Penny is a speech-language pathologist by education but would rather spend her time podcasting, blogging and surfing through the vast seas of the internet. Penny spends her free time making lunches, avoiding exercising, and being interrupted by Greg. Penny is currently in the process of going deaf from too many hours of listening to her iPod so if you meet her, make sure to speak loudly and clearly.
