Hi Penni - just listened to your podcast and wanted to let you know that I understand about the ratings since I have a son who is now 10 1/2 & a daughter who will soon be 9. I did take both of them to the theater for the last movies release even thought it was PG-13 because I figured they already knew the books and while something might be different then they thought, over all there should not be many surprises. My daughter did fine with the movie. I think she covered her eyes a couple times but didn't react negatively toward the movie in terms of bad dreams. I am planning on taking them again even thought I think there will be some scary stuff that probably should have pushed this one to PG-13 also.

Just a quick comment on your discussion in the podcast about the PG rating. Personally i think they have lowered their standards in terms of what makes a movie PG-13. Whatever they did, it doesnt really matter to me, i think people are a bit ridiculous when it comes to movies. honestly it doesnt matter what the rating is. If a rating matters it only matters in how you personally rate it. and as for children, i would agree with Greg's comment that people dont give kids enough credit. If they get scared they get scared, but you cant assume that they will be scared, and refuse to let them see a movie they want to watch. Anyway, the HP movies are pathetic anyway. The books on the other hand are the best in the world in my opinion, so i would love to here HPProgs doing weekly episodes again, discussing the books!

Greg and Penny,

I found your podcast late last summer while looking for podcast of interests to load up on my Ipod. I am an expatriate living in a little village here in Mexico, just out side Guadalajara. It's a place called Ajijic, (pronounced ah hee heek). It was wonderful to find a podcast related to one of my favorite book series. English books are not always plentiful. New releases are even harder to get. Your podcasts help me stay in touch with some of the books I hold dear to my heart. Keep up the good work. Here and in your new venture.

Regards

"Tell me one thing, is this real or has this been happening inside my head". Dumbledore beamed at him. "Of corse it is happening inside your head Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real". That is the quote to end the conversation between Dumbledore and Harry. It had to be real, because Dumbledore told Harry info that Harry didn't know before, like Dumbledores self-loathing. I don't think Harry just made that up? What do you all think?

I'm inclined to disagree, too, since I take it that the conversation was real. But I also allow for the other possibility, too.

Good podcast, Greg & Penny. Great to hear you back again.

Holy cow, Shimon. That is brilliant. And that fits perfectly with how I've been understanding the overall thrust of the book. We're talking about this on the next episode!!!

Could it be (assuming that the conversation is only in Harry's head) that Harry is "reconstructing" Dumbledore so that he can choose to believe in him?
Would this not also explain why this new image does not completely mesh with the DD we saw untill book seven?
