Episode 77
Hi Everyone! This is just a heads up that as of now, we will not be releasing episode 77 this week. Things are very busy around here and unfortunately there is no time to prepare, record, and edit the episode this week.
We look forward to returning next week for our regularly scheduled episode, and we apologize for this.

That’s very understandable. There alot of new stuff to look at for the case that can keep people busy until you get the chance to release a new episode. Here’s links to the trial transcripts:

OMG, that’s awesome. I’m going to be reading this straight for the next three days.

It is understandable, but it’s still causing tears! It’s ok though you guys, I think I can live.

Greg suggested that he and I should do a re-enactment of the trial. Thoughts?

Interesting. If you do, make sure it’s a comic re-enactment, cause Greg won’t make it through 5 seconds of a non-comic one without making a dumb joke.

I agree with Rosie, it would definitely have to be funny. I do think it would definitely be entertaining to listen to!

It would be hilarious. You could do three episodes, one for each day of the trial.

It was definitely meant to be funny.

You should include HP quotes or references not found in the trial, like maybe from the trials of death-eaters. Oh man, this could be good.

Re-Imaging the Ghetto: Reading Harry Potter from a Jewish Perspective
M. G. DuPree
Avada kedavra, or ha beracha davra? How Jewish is Harry Potter? Muggle fears of the dark power and “otherness” of wizards are a grim analogue for relations between the European gentile and Jewish communities from the Roman Empire to the mid-twentieth century. Kabbalah and magic, Mudbloods and Marranos—the books invite us to enter a hidden, coded world that results in mastery over the physical universe and possibly, death itself.

TJ: that’s sounds interesting. I’ve read a few Jewish takes on Harry Potter, and all of them, so far, have been rubbish. This one sounds promising however.
Avada kedabra is, in fact, Aramaic for: “It shall certainly be as you say,” which is interesting as it’s basically asserts killing someone with an expression of personal will.

Oh boy I had better take a vitamin before the next episode.
April 25th, 2008 at 2:55 pm
Wow. That sounds really interesting, TJ. I wish I was going to be there.

P&G: A re-enactment would be great! It has been very tense listening to all the other stuff about the trial. If anyone could help lighten the load, per se, it would be you all!

As Jo herself said in the testimony:
Q. You were never going to write a book on Harry Potter and Judaism, right?
THE COURT: And what?
Q. It was never her intention to write a book about Harry Potter and the Talmud, isn’t that correct?
A. I regret to say that is the case.

you definately need to include the part where the judge says at the end that he needs the whole Harry Potter series as part of the evidence…..
