  • On the show front, Episode 71 was recorded last night. I am in the middle of editing it, trying to do things on my  new computer (I haven’t named it yet, I like to name my electronics so I’ll send you all a virtual baby naming announcement  when I’ve come up with something I like.  I know I am weird. My iPod’s name is Kermit the Pod. Don’t ask.). Where was I? Oh, right I am trying to edit it with Garageband and it surprisingly is a bit more complicated than the PC editing software I was using so unless I completely give up and decide to edit the show in Audacity it will take me a bit longer.   Hopefully we’ll have the show up by later this evening
  •  Wow. I am having logorrhea this morning.
  • By the way, it is a new month so while you are waiting for episode #71, feel free to vote for us on Podcast Alley. Thanks in advance.

Have a great Sunday everyone,Penny

UPDATE:
I finished editing the show this morning. Now I am just waiting for the show putter upper (no need to mention any names) to put the show up.

    Kermit the Pod?

…How did I not know this?

(And I love GarageBand, but the editing is not the greatest.)

  2. Penny Says:

Do you think less of me? Actually, my current iPod is really Kermit the second because Kermit the Pod died but I still consider him Kermit the Pod.

I finally finished editing. The editing in garageband is definitely not the greatest. First of all it isn’t intuitive at all, and second of all, it adds MANY extra unnecessary steps which are just plain old annoying.

  3. Michal Says:

Think less of you? Me, the girl who doesn’t want to get a new iPod because, on some level, she thinks it will hurt the old one’s feelings?

    I wouldn’t worry :-)

What I like about GarageBand is that you can make a marker and then drag the second part over the first. You are basically masking the first part with the second and not throwing it away. So if it all goes pearshaped you can always undo the marker and start over with the original….

I’ve named all the motorised vehicles that I own but haven’t started on my other electronics yet, she still goes through life as powerbook. Can’t wait for the new episode. I’m off to lay in the park on a blanket in the sun. Was hoping to listen to the new progs episode meanwhile, but I guess I’ll have to be patient then.

I was hoping to listen to the episode today, but I guess I will have to wait till tomorrow. *sigh* Lucky for me, I am on MArch Break, so will have plenty of time tomorrow.

I name electronics too, and my lime green iPod nano is called Salazar (I hope I spelled that right!). The only logical reason is that it’s green.

  6. Penny Says:

P.S. if anyone can think of a name for the computer I’m game for suggestions. It is a MacBook Pro.

  7. Aaron Says:

Uh I may have to take a pass on this one.
