Status of Episode #58

Due to some unforseen circumstances (the whole Lavender Brown casting has really thrown us for a loop!), episode 58 will not be out at its regular time this week.  Please stay tuned to hpprogs.com and we’ll let you know when we plan on releasing it.  We are hoping to get it up sometime early next week since Thanksgiving is on  Thursday.

In the meantime, Enjoy this off the cuff Top 5 I have come up with and feel free to vote for your favorite!!

  1. Aaron Says:

I would have voted for Harry and Moaning Myrtle in the bath tub.

  2. Penny Says:

Oooh. Good one, Aaron. I totally forgot about that one! That was expecially awkward in the movie.

  3. lalala Says:

Maybe a good one is the Hagrid and Madame Maxime thing when he’s “courting” her and then the whole being giant discussion. I think Hagrid has many awkward moments in general.
I don’t know if this counts as awkward but I felt that way when Ron was trying to destroy the locket horcrux and the Harry/Hermione thing happened, especially because Harry was right there.

  4. Mizz Andy Says:

Please don’t take to long putting it up :) I am suffering bad bouts of insomnia at the moment and I am fast running out of podcasts to listen to. I will add here, how bad have a certain ‘popular’ podcast got? All they do is talk about themselves and not a lot of Harry Potter.

  5. Aaron Says:

Your not suggesting Greg is a cure for insomnia.

  6. Mizz Andy Says:

    Umm…….

  7. Shimon Says:

I’d go for - bumping into Neville at St. Mungo’s

  8. sally Says:

I agree with Shimon on awekward moments. I dont know what thanksgiving is. I dont think anyone celebrates it in australia. all i know is from the simpsons and there is a turkey. lol. but if i can give a slightly negative comment (im sure you guys wont care anyway) I liked the podcast better without the polls.

  9. Shimon Says:

I actually think the polls are kinda interesting…
maybe we should have a poll on the polls…

  10. Bill Says:

I dunno…..seems to me the most socially awkward moment had to have been for Lupin…when he was walking back from the shrieking shack with friends, colleagues and students and —Poof!— he turns into a blood thirsty werewolf right in front of everyone.

I know I hate when that happens to me!

  11. Frances Says:

Um, are you talking about Mugglecast, Mizz Andy? They do regularly talk about themselves, but eventually they do get to Harry Potter. I admit, sometimes it is annoying, but they are funny and have “interesting” stories to tell. Their talk about Harry Potter can be inteligent and thought-provoking, but since about a week or so after the book came out, they seem to think that there is nothing left to say about it, which isn’t true at all. But sometimes they can surprise you with actual, good Potter talk. I listen, but I’m not really there for Harry Potter, I hate to admit. I’m there for a good laugh and entertainment. I have HP Progs for the Harry Potter related issues. HP Progs is truly my Harry Potter podcast, whilst Mugglecast is entertainment.

I think that the awkward-est moments in Potter was the whole LavLav WonWon junk. I thought it was hilarious, although you really weren’t thinking “aw-kward!” when you read it. It was just a funny thing to read. The Myrtal/Harry bathtub thing was the awkward moment in the books. I’ve decided I like these polls.

When Jessie Cave got cast for the Lavender roll, I was like, cool. She doesn’t exactly look like what I imagined her in the books, but there was no real description for her, so you can’t really say anything bad about her looks for the part. I hope she’s a good actress-she’s only starred in a TV movie that hasn’t aired yet. (I can’t remember what it’s called at the moment). The thing that irks me about her is that she is 20 years old. The age limit was 18. Look up “Lavender Brown Auditions” in Google and you’ll see that a bunch of 19 year old girls moaning about not being able to get the part because they were too old. I think it’s extremly unfair that they turn away 19 year olds that were “too old” then cast a 20 year old for the part. That’s just what I think.

    Ta ta for now!

  12. Esther Says:

Most awkward moment: Cho & Harry at Madam Puddifoot’s

  13. Henry Graham Says:

    well, it would have to be either;

when Neville runs into them at St. Mungos
    the moaning myrtle bathtub scene
    the Madam Puddifoot’s scene
    the songfest lol

i think alot of you are getting embarrassment confused with danger… Lupin turning into a werewolf in-front of them was not embarrassing… it was dangerous.
