I picked up my copy yesterday and I must say that I am disappointed in the extras, not much really, the deleted scenes (apart from Trelawney eating) are just boring, I haven’t watched the doco yet but I think it is just the same one that has been floating around in youtube for a while.
I watched the movie last night and just found it lacking in something, maybe its lacking some more Snapey action ;), he only appears a couple of times. I did enjoy it at the movies so not so sure why I was disappointed, it just seems really jumpy between scenes. Love Luna even more though. Emma almost did my head in though, she comes across as always tense. Anyway it will be watched again and again if only the occulmency scenes.
Just waiting now for the HD set that is not released until Dec. Roll on HBP!!!!!!

Andy- that is dissapointing. I am looking forward to seeing the movie again because it was 12am when we watched it the first time and I was pretty (hot and) tired. I do agree with you on Emma though. OY.

Penny - Leaky News has a link to a MTV feature which includes a couple of the ‘deleted scenes’ http://www.mtv.com/movies/news/articles/1574308/story.jhtml
Also mentions why they didn’t put the whole Lily/Snape “mudblood’ incident into “Snapes worst memory” makes for bad reading actually as its not giving me much hope for Snape in the next movies if they didn’t see that as important, I myself can’t see how that made the movies complicated.

I will be buying it soon, it was released here about 2 days ago or something, but I am really looking forward to it.
Of course, it always seems much more impressive at the movies.

Ok put Hillary Clinton in pink you got a Delorus Umbridge dead ringer. Of course to be fair and balanced has anyone else noticed the close resemblence between Grawp and George Bush Jr. ?

Oh, yes. I noticed it last summer, but had forgotten. As I was watching the DVD, I was again struck by the uncanny resemblance between Grawp and Bush. Big difference though, when given a tough decision, Grawp did the right thing, even if he didn’t understand why.

BTW - I’ve seen a number of bumper stickers that say “Republicans for Voldemort”. Fair enough - but let’s not forget the other side:
“Democrats for Umbridge”.
